Peter’s Run 5K & The Bryant Mile is an annual fundraiser benefiting our Laymen’s League men's ministry and has become a special tradition at Rose of Sharon. The 5K offers participants a traditional race experience, while the one-mile walk includes a fun and meaningful twist—participants enjoy a Krispy Kreme donut at the halfway point in memory of our late pastor, Bryant Hines, who was well known for his love of Krispy Kreme donuts. The name “Peter’s Run” points us to the Easter morning story when Peter ran to the tomb and discovered that it was empty—celebrating the hope and joy of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Whether you choose to run, walk, or simply come out and support the event, Peter’s Run is a wonderful opportunity for fellowship, fun, remembrance, and supporting the ministry of our Laymen’s League.
