Our Pastor

Rose of Sharon Original Free Will Baptist Church is pleased to announce their new pastor, Reverend Bill Groce, as of February 1, 2021.

Pastor Groce comes to us from Wilson, where he served 6 years as pastor and two years as associate pastor of Daniels Chapel Original Free Will Baptist Church in the Black Creek community.

He is married to Danette, and has four adult daughters, one of whom still resides at home.

His passion is winning souls and discipling new believers. He brings to Rose of Sharon nearly forty years of ministry experience, having served many years in the Wesleyan denomination.

The vision which he feels most passionate about is a plan he calls Rescue1:28 based on Colossians 1:28. The four parts of this program are Pray, Reach, Win, Teach.

As such he will be asking God to raise up laborers for the harvest in these four areas to serve as Intercessors (prayer warriors), Bridge-Builders (relationship makers), Harvesters (soul winners), and Disciplers (personal mentors for new believers).
